Samson

Formerly half of the pop group Bolides, Samson breaks away on his own and writes songs in his own name for the first time. The first, L’Oiseau bleu, inspired by a Bukowski poem, embodies the singer’s desire to blend the French chanson that lulled him in his youth with bouncy pop, recalling the groove of his previous band. After a concert at Le Poisson Lune and an opening slot at La Maroquinerie, he heads for the Boule Noire stage, determined in his heroic quest to become a dream pop icon.

Marine Quéméré

Her pop is soft, sometimes synthetic, most of the time accompanied by an acoustic guitar. Marine Quéméré launched herself on the French pop scene a handful of years ago, her sensitive lyrics and tenacity in tow. Her taste for arrangements, too, as she likes to sprinkle piano notes here and bossa nova rhythms there. Following the release of her second EP – Bande annonce, released last May on Kwaidan Records – and currently on tour with Nouvelle Vague, the singer will be appearing for the first time on the Inrocks Super Club stage

Geagea

Géraldine Baux, aka Geagea, was brought up on the alternative rock of the 1990s, with a penchant for Garbage, but she carefully distances herself from her metallic inspirations when it comes to distilling her resolutely protean music. Supported by her guitar, the author, composer and former member of the Las Aves trio sings a hybrid, acid pop. Whether opening for the group Lulu Van Trapp, playing with Jeanne Added or producing for other artists, Geagea fascinates as much as she intrigues with the new sound she intends to bring, definitely her own.
