The new rising star on the Panenka label (PLK, Georgio) is a breath of fresh air with influences as wide-ranging as Bashung and Kanye West.
Brought up on his parents’ records, then wasted hours in his town and on the internet, Andéol, 24, has been writing songs since he was a teenager. In his corner, he has been developing a sound, fuelled by his compulsive listening to Christophe, Charli Xcx and DJ Mehdi. After a few self-produced tracks (‘Regard’, ‘Moscow Mule’ and ‘Boule à facettes’) and 3 million streams to his name, Andéol decided to surround himself with his new electronically-tinged French chanson.
