Since forming in 2019, Soda Blonde – made up of Faye O’Rourke (vocals), Adam O’Regan (guitar), Dylan Lynch (drums) and Donagh Seaver-O’Leary (bass) – have forged a unique place in the music world with their self-produced sound, introspective lyrics and striking visual aesthetic. Their second album, Dream Big, not only solidified their reputation, but also propelled them into new creative horizons. This bold, manifesto album struck a chord with fans and critics alike, earning them nominations for Album of the Year and Song of the Year (Bad Machine) at the Choice Music Prize.

The band’s journey in 2024 has been extraordinary. In January, they embarked on their first sold-out European tour, a testament to their growing international popularity. In March, Soda Blonde made headlines by pulling out of SXSW, denouncing the festival’s association with the US military. This decision inspired the visually striking and hard-hitting video for Why Die For Danzig, a scathing critique of society’s complicity in the workings of war. However, the real highlight of the year came in July, when Soda Blonde played a monumental sold-out concert at Dublin’s National Concert Hall.Working with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, the band performed orchestral arrangements of Dream Big, blending the cinematic grandeur of a full orchestra with their signature sound. The evening was recorded and will shortly be available as a film-concert and live album, allowing fans to relive this unforgettable experience.
