BØL says nothing, but speaks to the imagination through a burning sound, without words. A flow of multiple polyrhythms in dialogue with an instinctive energy, a kind of fury intertwined with suspended colours, where every second pursues the obsession of communion through trance and the letting go of dance.
With WHERE GLITTER GOES, BØL creates a space where the hallucinatory trances of Glass Beams and Edredon Sensible, the post-rock of Tool, the frenzy of La Jungle and the contemplative settings of Radiohead cohabit.
It’s an outlet made up of reminiscences: the energy of a Berlin club caught through a door left ajar, a sunrise glimpsed through a half-drawn blind, or a street fire slowly consuming itself, always fuelled by the fuel that anyone can drop in.
SUPPORT : OP.16
Op.16 (opus 16), inspired by Rachmaninov’s Moments musicaux, is the innovative project of singer and multi-instrumentalist Solène Charpentier. This unique project draws on the melancholy harmonies of classical music, the intoxicating pulsations of electronic music and the rich sounds of the traditions of Asia Minor. In each performance, she blends modern synthesizers with the ancient sound of the duduk, a traditional Armenian wind instrument, creating a musical fusion that is both techno and melodic.
