With a clever mind and surreal visions, Charlie Motto sings fantastic, danceable, crystalline and touching pop. Highly inspired by the lyrical pop of Kate Bush and Caroline Polachek, she carries us away with her heady voice and high-pitched melodies.
Originally from the south of France, Charlie Motto inherited his passion for music from his Italian grandfather. After learning classical piano and singing, she began recording cover versions, which she brought back into her world and posted on social networks.
Charlie began writing her own songs in 2019, with a desire to release her emotions other than in a notebook. In parallel with her year studying music in 2021, she meets Balthazar Picard, with whom they start working on impactful electropop prods, showcasing her ethereal head voice.
In 2022 and early 2023, Charlie performed a dozen dates in Paris (Les Trois Baudets, Sofar Sounds, Les Étoiles, Petit Olympia, opening acts…), unveiling her first live songs in a naive, choreographed set.
