HEROE

DUCHESS PRODUCTION

Heroe’s music is an intimate, sensitive, and ethereal pop sound that could serve as the soundtrack to life’s defining moments. On failles, his first album in French, Heroe delivers raw, sincere, and evocative music, blending the organic feel of Patrick Watson, the lyrical depth of Terrenoire, and the melancholy of Bon Iver. An album in which Heroe is truly Mehdi: this Franco-Moroccan who grew up with hit English-language films and series like Into the Wild—romantic and pop, with cathartic sincerity. Heroe is, above all, an artist who has taken his time: the time to learn the guitar at age 12, until his fingers ached, the time to discover Lo-Fi music and successful rock artists, to dream of major dream-pop bands like Daughter or Angus & Julia Stone, and then to buy his own music gear to create his first song, Prom Night, that very same evening.

Overnight, thanks to a post on the music discovery YouTube channel Inès K, Heroe gained popularity and followers across platforms. He then honed his live performances on stages in Normandy—where he met Léo Chatelier, founder of the Duchess label—and participated in local talent showcases before moving to Paris. Success began to take shape: 50,000 listeners per month for his first songs, rising to 400,000 after his collaboration with rapper Rxseboy on Leaving.

His track Heureux, released in November 2025, went viral even before its release and quickly established him as one of the rising stars of French indie/pop on streaming platforms.
