Ian Caulfield overturns the idea of regretted insouciance, like a kid defending his cause. Touched by the artists who shook up the 1990s, his music is a mixture of sentiment, love, nostalgia, uncertainty and other melancholy monsters crossing his path. He navigates between the rich past of French chanson such as Souchon or Goldman, and the more inventive rock roots found across the Channel, with references such as Sad Night Dynamit or Damon Albarn.
Finally back in the spotlight with Idiot du quartier de lune, Ian Caulfield announces a new EP “Banzaï” for January 2024 and continues his tour of France, opening for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Hoshi and Zed Yun Pavarotti.
