Somewhere between folk, country, satire and truth is Jesse Welles. He’ll finally be performing in Paris at La Boule Noire on Saturday 10 May 2025!
Acknowledged as an underground rock’n’roll influence, Welles has disappeared and reappeared in folk form: a quick-witted bard with an acoustic guitar, a voice reflecting a brutal existence, and a disarming smile that can make you doubt even the most obvious facts. His lyrical talent (somewhere between a doomed Whitman and an optimistic McCarthy) is matched by his guitar skills, which could be enough for most artists.
