Mallrat, one of the rising stars of the Australian alternative scene, began breaking codes from the start, racking up more than 500 million streams across her discography. The project spearheaded by Grace Shaw, a talented and visionary artist, quickly led her to share the stage with big names such as Maggie Rogers, Post Malone, King Princess and Conan Gray. Mallrat has also collaborated with the likes of Azealia Banks, The Chainsmokers, BENEE, Blu DeTiger and Cub Sport, cementing her place on the contemporary music scene.
Mallrat’s strength lies in her unique blend of alternative pop and indie electro, characterised by ethereal melodies, sensual beats and introspective lyrics that explore themes of vulnerability, love and relationships. She manages to fuse a variety of influences, from R&B to ambient, while remaining true to a singular, personal musical identity. Her work has received enthusiastic critical acclaim from influential media outlets such as NPR, Stereogum, NME, NYLON, PAPER Magazine, The New York Times, Billboard, Noisey, and many others, confirming her status as a must-see artist for years to come.
In 2025, following the world premiere of his latest single ‘Hocus Pocus’ on Zane Lowe, Mallrat is set to unveil his second album ‘Light hit my face like a straight right’ on 14 February. You can catch him live on stage at La Boule Noire in Paris on 18 June 2025.
