The roots of Naima Bock’s music run deep and wide. Born in Glastonbury to a Brazilian father and a Greek mother, Naima spent her early childhood in Brazil before moving back to England. This eclectic heritage is reflected in Naima’s music: Brazilian standards (Baden Powell, Chico Buarque, Geraldo Vandre, Cartola, etc.) that the family used to play. ) that the family used to listen to on their way to the beach, to European folk traditions from which she drew her own inspiration, to the activities that interest her today – studying archaeology, gardening and hiking – Naima’s music is inspired by family, the land and the passing on of music from generation to generation.

After her debut album ‘Giant Palm’ in 2022, Naima Bock is set to release a new album ‘Below A Massive Dark Land’ on Sub Pop on September 27.
