Melodic and pure: such is the alternative pop-folk of Nina Versyp (FR), singer-songwriter and performer with clear vocals, but traversed by incandescent impulses that growl and can only intrigue. On stage, with only her electric guitar augmented by a minimalist set of effects and textures, she imprints her physical presence as much as her voice in a strange blend of roughness and delicacy.
If expressing the essential is as difficult as it is necessary, Nina Versyp succeeds in doing so in her first EP, Paralysed, released this year. Beneath her gentle music lies a whirlwind of urgent, high-pitched, burning feelings.
