Expect an incredible experience! – POPS
POPS was born at home in Paris in 2001, where his sound engineer father listened to reggae and his sister Danitsa was already singing along.
As a child, when he turned on the radio, he heard his uncle Benji, who had a hit with his group Les Nèg’ Marrons.
When he was 7, he moved to Switzerland with his mother and two sisters, settling in Geneva. His sister befriended the rapper Di-Meh and introduced the young POPS to the world of concerts.
In his late teens, he naturally dropped out of school to join his sister on stage, starting with a tour of over 100 dates across Europe.
Alongside the tour, he formed a band with his friends, going so far as to organize a sold-out underground concert.
He left this first group, saying he wanted to focus on his music.
In 2019, when he returned from a trip to Los Angeles, he made his debut in music production by locking himself in his room every day for several months.
Thibault Eigenmann, director of the COLORS label in Geneva, will listen to his first projects, and decide to work with him on live albums by Makala, Mairo and Daej Phantom.
POPS then worked on Slimka – 6KLOP’s project as arranger on the track Ace.
