In October 2022, Romane returns with her first album Ways of Dreaming, determined to deliver a more mature vision of her music, but above all, a much more personal one. The Soulgirl tells us about the contrast between the young woman she used to be, embarrassed by her shyness, restricted by the way others looked at her, and the one she is today, assumed and fighting. A self-confidence that runs through the whole album, announced in the title track Ways of Dreaming (I'll fight again and again/ Standing up for myself), repeated on No More Doubt (I said no more doubt) proclaimed on Self Love (It's crazy I never thought I'd finally find/Self love).
