Glüme wants it all.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, it all started with a Judy Garland biopic. When six-year-old Glüme overheard her parents arguing about money, she knew what to do. If Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz could become a star and buy her parents a house in the real world, so could Glüme. She stopped going to school, started taking dance classes and auditioning.

Baby Glüme landed roles in 102 Dalmatians, Kingdom Hearts and a Hayao Miyazaki film, but her airy voice and melancholy aura weren't exactly what Disney Channel was looking for. There were all these happy, girl power albums, but they were all written by men. The men were telling me, "You have to be more powerful, more uplifting. I don't have any of that to say."

Glüme hears Chromatics on Spotify Shuffle. Immediately, she knows that Johnny Jewel's production is the only way to translate the music in her head to the outside world. Her years of experience as an actress gave her enough contacts to meet the president of Warner Brothers and Rihanna's lawyer, but she couldn't find Johnny Jewel. Then, as luck would have it, Glüme ended up in intensive care for a fortnight. After dozens of tests, she was diagnosed with Prinzmetal's angina, a rare heart condition. It was as if a door had closed.
