RIKAS

In the blink of an eye, Rikas transforms an evening without a plan, a film without a plot, into something unforgettable. Ferdinand plays drums, Sam plays bass, Chris plays guitar and Sascha plays guitar and keyboards. They all have their own superpowers, but none of them stands alone in the limelight. They create their songs together. They all sing, preferably with anthemic backing vocals. From their home town of Stuttgart, the band has already built up a growing fan base across Europe. Singles such as “Overthinking” and “I Always Think Of You (When I Listen To This Song)” have been streamed millions of times, Rikas has become a phenomenon in Germany and word of mouth has begun to spread across borders.

With over 300 concerts, including festivals such as the Fusion Festival and MS Dockville in Hamburg, and support slots for artists such as Milky Chance, Alt J and Alice Phoebe Lou all over Europe, Rikas quickly built up a reputation. After the release of their debut album ‘Showtime’ at the end of 2019 and a postponed tour, Rikas found themselves in a writing slump. 2023 marks a new stage for the band: they are about to produce their second studio album at Hansa Studios Berlin, followed by an international campaign throughout 2023/24 accompanied by a first European headline tour and festival appearances.
