After causing a sensation on the stages of Pukklepop, Francofolies and CORE, La Boule Noire will welcome the RORI tornado on April 4, 2024!
RORI took her first steps in music with the group BEFFROI. At the age of 16, she scored her first hit with the track ‘Swim’, widely played on the radio. She went on to perform at Dour and Les Ardentes, among others. In 2020, the singer went solo and released her first singles, which immediately attracted the attention of the country’s media and radio stations. RORI explains today that these first tracks were like experiments in a musical laboratory that would help define what was to come.
2022 was the year when RORI was ready to assume full responsibility for herself, and when she decided to sing exclusively in French. The result was the hit single ‘Docteur’, which exploded onto all radio stations and streaming platforms, propelling her into the spotlight. The young Belgian marks the start of 2023 with the release of her first EP. With ‘Ma saison en enfer’, RORI invites us into a work that blends different colors, underlining her eclecticism and love of pop-culture. RORI reveals herself through this EP, offering us a raw, unadorned look at her everyday problems. Listening to ‘Ma Place’, ‘Soleil’ or ‘Encore’, it’s easy to pick out some of her influences, those of an artist who adores the world.
