Winner of the Audience Award at the Inouïs du Printemps de Bourges in 2022, St Graal made a name for himself with the track “Les Dauphins”. In the summer of 2021, he posted an extract from this track on the networks, and the web went wild. “I want to spend my life with you / Jet-skiing on dolphins / Riding sharks too / And making love on the beach / Surrounded by seashells….” The spontaneity and hedonism that emerge, the obviousness of the chorus, the auto-tuned voice that blends with this electro production with real rock energy make it a viral track that becomes a real underground hit. His short videos have already racked up tens of millions of views on TikTok (more than 220k subscribers) and Instagram (nearly 50k), and he never fails to unveil extracts of his compositions to his followers to get feedback on his tracks.
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and excellent producer, who is supported by La Nef in Angoulême (his home town) and attended the Bordeaux Conservatoire, will be releasing his first EP in March 2023, featuring bittersweet songs set against a backdrop of electro beats, incisive guitars and highly effective pop melodies that have already won rave reviews from his community. It’s sure to breathe new life into French chanson.
