“Who said rock was dead? Certainly not The Silver Lines, four young boys from Birmingham, who could well be heralding the return of British guitar rock. In fact, they’re proud of the fact that they don’t have the money to invest in effects pedals or synthesizers, so they’re content to strum their strings with unbridled energy and modesty.” (L’Obs)
Playing loud rock’n’roll in a cottage in the English countryside, dressed in a hand-knitted sweater, that’s what it’s like to be a Silver Line.

Formed by the Ravenscroft brothers who were bored by the current landscape of guitar bands, Dan (vocals) and Joe (guitar) decided to create music that really excited them. In 2019, they met Kindo (drums) and later George (bass) and moved back to their hometown of Birmingham. Since then, they’ve been playing gig after gig from the UK to the USA, then here, and have been quickly praised by numerous French media (L’Obs, 20 Minutes, Radio France, Culturebox, FIP, Rolling Stone, Magic, La Face B…), on the occasion of their widely acclaimed appearance at Trans Musicales 2023. Far be it from them to be the umpteenth “indie band of white guys” singing about teenage love or ranting prophetic quotes: The Silver Lines arrive with lyrics that aren’t afraid to touch taboo subjects. Their most recent tracks, for example, tackle toxic masculinity, drug abuse, sexual exploitation and social norms.

In 2024, The Silver Lines are honored to return to France for several tours, including a successful first run in the spring, and now in the fall of 2024 for new concerts in their name on French territory.
